Does this wood require stablizing. I would think it would, but you know your wood better then me.

I use it unstabilized mostly but have had a few blocks done and works fine.
I think it looks a little better if left natural.
 
I make pistol grips with walnut and like the deep look you can get with a BirchWood Casey Tru-oil finish. Its time consuming but high end gun makers do it. I've tried it stabilized and wasnt as happy but its sure allot easier to finish.

BTW Don, This stuff is some of the best I've seen.

I forgot to ask, will you ship to Canada. If so I will take 2 block of the flaming burl.

Is the regular burl kiln dried also?
