I am about 13 days into my order with Premium Knives for a Fallkniven S1.

I have never experienced such poor customer service from an online merchant.

They seem to have one person willing to take a live call but only for pre-sales. If you have a question about your order, you get a recording or you can fill in a form where you have 99 characters to explain your question.

After three online messages and two phone messages, I've never received a call back.

My order now shows as shipped by Fedex, but the tracking number isn't in the Fedex system. I've never seem that before either.

They did have the lowest price I found not counting eBay by $20 which is why I ordered. I don't know how they pulled this off, as I am assuming they had to order the knife from somewhere else before shipping to me, so where is the profit?

Anyway, if the knife ever shows up I'll be relieved. I have never seen such behavior from a legitimate merchant. (Scam artists are another issue.)

Just FYI. I would gladly pay $20 extra next time to somebody who shows respect for their customers throughout the process.

As far as I can tell from my recent experience, their knife "division" seems to be a drop-ship operation. So as you say, they have a live operator for sales but beyond that...

I finally got my order from them in the time frame they indicated (14 working days after order), but the lack of communication is something that buyers should be forewarned about.

They were a different outfit a few years ago, but it appears they "streamlined" their operation.

There are several good alternatives out there and some of them are dealers here on BF. I would say only use them if you have to.
