This is why we don't let people have shoes, belts, or hoodies with strings in custody. That's also why we don't use flex cuffs.
If one was inclined to escape from some form of custody, it would be prudent for them to do it before they reached your type of custody. I believe the closer you are to the time of your capture is directly proportional the likelyhood of your escape. The longer you are being held the more useful items you will loose. :)

Where can you get some of that kevlar cord ???
