Here are some presentation blue mammoth ivory scales with a real nice crackly gator pattern, they were all cut from the same tusk so they would make nice matching knives, two sets from my next post also match these. Below is a Colt that I made grips for from the same ivory so you can see it finished. I have left texture on the outside to allow you to deside how much you want to preserve, I also left the scales as thick as possible so you can deside how thick you want them to be as apposed to sanding the voids in the back completely out, small voids on the back have already been filled for you.
