Preserving old pictures

Jens, if you are interested in the style of wall covering that I believe is behind him (a simple version) look up Lincrusta and Anaglypta. I am pretty sure the background is something similar to those deeply embossed styles of covering. I won't bore the rest of the forum with a ramble about it, this time. :D
