Bruce, the way I handled it was to insist that my daughter's dates always come in and shake hands. Her date for the prom in her senior year of high school claimed later that I broke his hand. I'm sure I didn't but it got the point across!:D

All my buddies are willing to pay to be here for her first date...arguing over who gets the fingerprint kit, poloroid camera, the big sharpening stone...
I'm thinking of requiring a deposit. It is a great idea that I read here on the forums.

smartest dad on earth once she gets to be
13 or 14 you become a guy that doesn't know anything.
I've been there My youngest is 18
 and thank god both are boys.

She is already a hand full now,Thinks she is supposed to be able to do anything she wants and I can't say no...Yea Right!!! She is finally figuring out that she likes nice Dad instead of Grumpy MEAN Dad...About time.I hated being a grump with her..
At least these little at school boyfriends are already figuring out that this Dad can be mean and means it, so maybe I won't have to many problems..I will be watching out for the guys that did like I did the most.I would make it a point to meet dad and when I seen him I would greet him first with the firm hand shake and just the rite words.So when I would ask if it would be alright if we went for a burger after the movy and what time the movie would be over and the time i would have her home by the Dad 99% of the time was in so much shock that he would say that would be fine...Movie and Burger ...Yea rite :D ...
Maybe the ones she likes now I wont have to worry about as they get older..Donna has already suggestd the Chastity Belt,as Heather likes the boys to much.She is a total Tom Boy..She keeps saying she wants to learn to make a knife..Maybe I can teach her and her little boyfriends and that wyay there night out is at the forge and power hammer were I can keep a eye on them..I can dream and hope can't I..:D
Here is a picture of the youngest one,Brandy at 4,now 5...I figure she will be the one I have trouble with the guys the most..The little boys flock to her like she was a magnet now.Just wait till she is older...Scary thought..

Bruce, you are going to have to beat the boys off with a stick. When they go on a date just sit by the front door with a shotgun on your lap as they leave with their dates. The fella's should get the idea.
 
I got it, go on very long camping trips with
the girls no boys.
like until their 30 or 35 or so. kidding..
the best thing I've done is teach them right from wrong.
and the consequences if they do wrong and be there for them..

if you force them to do it your way all the time.
that will make them want to see why they can't even more?

think about the things we did,
and why we did them,
did you stop just because you were told not to do it?
no way, but if you know right from wrong at the very least
you knew you were the blame if something screwed up.

I say no sometimes just so they remember what NO is..
 never trust the little buggers, if you do they'll
be at the all night parties all the time Hahha,,
