Prettiest knives?

I have to give another vote for William Henry. You can get basic but still attractive models for a moderately reasonable price, or you can go all the way up to "Jesus, does anybody other than a Saudi Prince own one of those?" prices. The super high end ones are very drool worthy.

As for more reasonably priced production models, my tastes are pretty odd, and I love the odd angles and shocking colors of Rike and WE models in anodized titanium. I don't know why, but those get me happy every time I see one.

Pretty has a rather specific connotation. I would imagine changing the word to 'beautiful' would bring greater consensus?

In my eyes a knife that shows the scars of use is the prettiest.

I was thinking the same thing, the word pretty makes me think of dainty, gem encrusted, glimmery.

AKA none of the knives mentioned here would be considered pretty, except William Henry or that lockback dagger.

They would be considered beautiful though.

The prettiest - and extremely underrated - brand of knives I've ever seen come from Viper. Aside from the Fortis, high-profile Vox collaborations, and other titanium frame-locks, they get relatively little attention on this forum. They are amazing on the budget too - you can get m390 carbon fiber/titanium frame-locks in the $150-250 range. I've owned several Gent's knives from Viper, and they easily punch up to William Henry quality and aesthetics for under 20% of the price, without trying to play big baller whipping it out like a Persian king.

The spines/lock-back are never sharp and amazingly polished, handles are contoured like the carbon-fiber on my Thorburn, and the edges that actually slice stuff. In terms of F&F and overall manufacturing quality, they are in the Lionsteel/Spyderco Golden tier. I sold my Viper Venator years ago, so I only have stock photos to provide:

Talking about production knives, hard to tell. Fällkniven, Bark River and Randall spring to mind (if they count as production knives).

Talking about customs, completely impossible to tell. Not gonna mention any, so I don't leave anyone out.

Or what the hell: Bill Bagwell!

Art knives aside, the most beautiful knives to me are those that offer the perfect marriage of design and intended function.

On the production side, knives such as the Victorinox Soldier/Pioneer and the Spyderco Pingo exhibit these qualities. The Boker Urban Trapper comes very, very close.

Lately I've been seeing a lot of custom makers in my IG feed, their designs are quite beautiful. JB Blount, Serge Panchenko, and virtually everything photo'd by sharpbycoop are some of my favorites.
