• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Knives by Ray Richard.
Photos by me.
Lighting courtesy of Arizona.

Might be alloy banding or it might be shear steel. Ray has used shear steel in the past. The smaller one might be the one he called shear steel. The swirls and more randomness to the pattern seem to indicate it. The larger bowie looks a a lot like alloy banding though.

Hey Aaron,

Did you "borrow" those knives, or did they come home to reside in Arizona??? :D

They're beautiful, and i love the look of the steel. The s-guard is stunning.

Stuart: thanks. Every once in a while the temperature, timing, state of my lawn, and wind (or lack thereof) conspire to allow me to take a few snapshots on my favorite eucalyptus stump. Even so, avoiding the particulates in the air is a futile effort so there are always a few flecks of "something" on the blades in my photos. :( One of these days I'll learn my lesson and build a light tent.

I've told my wife that if we ever move I'm taking that tree stump with me. :D

Eli, they're resting comfortably in a climate-controlled AZ environment. Not Biosphere II.

Chuck--good to see ya. I owe you a call, like I promised I would at Tai's. I'll be up in your neck of the woods soon.

From what I understand the small guy is from the last of Ray's mystery saw blade.
