Please remember we were not having these problems using IE, before the recent BFC issues.

Did you ever figure out if any particular thing was causing the lock up on IE6 for you, please?
For me it appears to be having a QUOTE=username tag in the post - and the longer the quote the more likely the lock-up.
It also appears to be accumulative - ie: with a QUOTE=username tag - the more Previews (and/or Edits) I do the more lilkely it will eventually lock-up.
I'm not sure if this is merely a symptom - or a possible cause.
This is now happening to me over at CandlePowerForums.com where they have also just installed vBulletin Version 3.0.8

Mike Hull said:No, I never found the reason, it just loaded so slow on IE that it took a great amount of time to view any threads at all.
Posting replies was at least a 5 minute operation, whether I used quote or not.
Someone on BFC was recommending Mozilla Firefox browser to someone else having the same problem as me, and I downloaded it to try.
It certainly speeded things up a bit, but I really don't like it as well as IE as you can't organise your favorites the same and that bugs me.
I finally upgraded my OS to Win XP Pro, and I can now browse this forum using IE, but it's still a slow load, just not quite as bad as before.
So, I'll just continue to use Mozilla.
VB forums has some glitch in it's software that conflicts with IE, and has for quite awhile. I hope they find it.
