Preview of 2 of my JS judging knives

Bruce
They do not accept any outside work such as engraving before the judging. All work must be your own.
Bring the finished pieces when you come to test. I want to look at them for a prejudging.

Now there's a man ^^^ with an opinion that will really count :)

They look great in the photos Bruce...don't forget to set them down and try not to even think about them for a day or two and then go back to them to see what you might not be seeing now. I'm sure you'll do great!

So we're supposed to have some knives with us to show when we take the performance test at the Mastersmith's shop? So they have an idea if we can make a knife that will pass the judging done in Atlanta?

Thanks Jerry...Thats what I thought...And since I am not that good at engraving yet I best leave them alone, and just finish them out and have the engraving done after the Blade show if I use these for the judging pieces..

Nick,It is better if you can take your knives to a MS before the judging and have them check them over for you, that way you can go back and fix anything that needs fixing or make a new knife if one you have has something bad wrong and not fixable before the judging..

When you do your physical cutting test you should take some finished knives with you. That way the testing Master can go over with you and pin point problems that you can work on if need be. We would much rather you know before you go into the little room if you are having problems if there is something you could have done to the "butter cutter".
