Marfione Custom Scarab II - Vegas Forge Blue(d) Vines & Roses Damascus with Hefted (striations or miniscule lines carved into the) Black aluminum handles featuring Blued Titanium hardware.
The Scarab II is one of the hottest Microtech knives on the market and this is the Deluxe Top of the line version of it. These rarely show up on the aftermarket and I have purchased all that I have seen available in the past several months in the effort to 'upgrade' serial numbers. Do not miss this rare opportunity to own a true masterpiece.
I purchased 3 of these knives, have sold one, am keeping one and am now ready to sell the third. While I feel my price is fair, I am open to receiving any offers. I am fairly certain that this knife is sold out wherever it was originally offered. In my opinion, the Blued Damascus blades are the penultimate cream of the crop, the best of the best, the upper crust, top shelf prime deluxe examples of the craftwork of Anthony Marfione and crew....
Being such a large blade, this one in particular really shows the exquisite beauty of the Vegas Forge Vines & Roses Pattern Damascus steel, especially with the contrast of the blue popping out on the exquisite Spike grind (which is a double edge without the flats and blood holes, more shape to it).
While barely mentioned or depicted in most commercial listings for this knife, it is also highly polished adding luster and vibrancy often difficult to capture in a photograph. Aside from the above, this Knife is in absolutely perfect condition and has never been used, sharpened or carried by either the original owner nor myself. It has been stored in a climate controlled safe since I purchased it and the box and everything included are also in perfect, unused condition.
The previous owner of this knife was extremely excited to behold this stunning beauty and forgot to remove his wedding band before opening the box. Unfortunately, this lead to his creating 3 miniscule imperfections in the hefted aluminum finish. While barely noticeable, they are visible with the naked eye. This said, there are several well proven chemical agents on the market specifically designed for repairing/restoring/touching up just this type of embellishment such as BW Casey Aluminum Black or JAX that chemically bond with the aluminum and would perfectly hide these almost unnoticeable specks.
This beautiful specimen comes complete with all its original accoutrements ~ Its collector grade magnetic enclosure Marfione Custom Knives box, Declaration Of Authenticity placard, Marfione Custom Knives Dagger Logo embossed micro Fibre cleaning cloth in plastic pouch, Marfione Custom Knives deluxe ballistic nylon chamois lined Marfione signature embroidered zippered pouch with miniature Marfione dagger on zipper and substantially larger hook & loop backed Marfione dagger metal 'patch' as well as a micro fibre pouch to hopefully prevent any further embellishments to this most exotic custom piece of American made craftwork.
Several photos show what appear to be scratches which are actually only dust, which contrasts vividly against the hefted black aluminum. These are not damaged areas.
I am asking $1,750.00 for this exceptional specimen.
