Steel: AEB-L
Heat Treat: Paul Bos
Hardness of 60-61
Blade Length: 3 5/8"
Overall Length 8"
Spine Thickness: .121"
Handle is homemade experimental composite consisting of epoxy and bits of cotton yarn. The composite is very tough. I took a slab of it and balanced it on top of a dome-shaped piece of concrete and smacked it with a hammer and just kept smacking it harder and harder until it broke. It took a very hard smack to break it. Regarding slipperiness: It does not feel any more slippery to me than stabilized wood, and not near as slippery as carbon fiber composites. If you think it is too slippery, just return it, unused, and I will refund you your purchase price plus cost of return shipping. There is G-Flex holding the scales onto the tang, along with orange G10 pins and a stainless tube.it does not feel any more slippery to me than stabilized wood, and not near as slippery as carbon fiber composites.
The whitish spots are bubbles that I filled with cyanoacrylate and sanding dust. Think of them as freckles that add character. The handle is finished with cyanoacrylate. It is a moderately shiny finish, but not a smooth finish; it has ridges and valleys similar to brush strokes.
Sheath: made for left side carry of 7-8 oz leather with a lacquer finish, nylon thread.
It has imperfections such as rough plunge lines. Such as the front facing parts of the scales are not as shiny as the rest of the handle. I did my best to capture the flaws in the pictures. The white spots on the bevels are specks of lint.
Asking$130 $111 $91 $72, which includes Priority shipping anywhere in the USA.
The first "I'll take it" gets it.
I prefer payment via PayPal Goods and Services. Checks must clear the bank and money orders must be cashed before I will ship.
Thank you for looking and feel free to ask any questions.
