Hi all,
It is with great sadness that I have to let go this knife that I just recently had quite a bit of work done on. The work was done by the knifemaker KalEl here on bladeforums. He does amazing work, search him to check out his work here.
It is a Busse Tankbuster. I loved the knife except the handles were way to flat for me. This is where the custom work came in. KalEl gave it a satin finish (it used to be black coated) and sculpted these BEAUTIFUL Curly Claro Walnut handles. The handles have a nice palm swell and are perfectly contoured with no hot spots. He put them on and secured it with stainless pins. The knife is a work of art.
It has never been used to cut anything. Comes with the tan SpecOps sheath pictured. The new handles make the sheath harder to button than the old flat handles. I don't mind it, but you might. Just being straightforward so that I don't get the knife sent back due to sheath dissatisfaction. I will throw it in no matter what, but if you are picky you can expect to want to purchase a new sheath.
Full disclosure: There is a long tooling mark that was exposed when KalEl gave the blade a satin finish. He said that he works with Busse's a lot and these marks are not uncommon. Obviously with the blade coated you can't even notice. See pics. It is noticeable and while this knife is beautiful, this stops it from being flawless. If you think there is a chance you will not like it and want to return it because of this, please save me the time and do not purchase it. Not trying to be rude, I just want the transaction to be honest, smooth, and straight forward.
I will ship anywhere in the USA...no international, sorry, just been burned before. First "I'll take it" will secure the item. Payment must be prompt after i provide paypal email or you will lose the item. PayPal only.
