Bump today - worth a 2nd look. Except for the Puukko these are virtually new knives - no longer "collectibles" but certainly worthy and able to give a life time of service. The puukk too is a knife with an excellent tradition story and has lots of years ahead - just that it looks as it has seen more use - as it has.

Cannot PM you apparently. I have looked at the puukko before over the years, but someone else always took it. So I ordered a plain jane from Antti Mäkinen.

The Jeff Baker VIPER - I am actually ambivalent about selling this one. It is a superb stout and durable woods knife that comes with a very fine Baker made sheath. I am only selling these to defray the cost of a one of a kind grail knife that is being offered to me. This VIPER is different from the standard model in that it has textured grips, colored liners, a sharpened swedge, an ice breaker pommel and the sheath with a matching fire steel holder. Others can be had for a bit less but there is no doubt in my mind that, though not quite new, all the value is there at a much reduced cost from what Jeff would rightly charge for another like it.
The John Doyle Forged Hunter is an excellent example of John Doyle's art/craft and exceptional attention to detail. More photos are needed to appreciate. It is not the only of this style that John had created but it is unique regards color and sheath and these will no longer be made by John as he is looking to expand his knife making repertoire. These are history.
Had I not used it and cleaned it after using, this knife would NOT be selling for
$ 200.00 less than the original cost. This knife and sheath are high examples of great knife and sheath making craft. They are beautiful and capable - a perfect combo of form fit and function.

No one is blind - I did remove the prices as I intend to relist with more details and photos of those two knives. I kind of give up on these sale threads after they get to page 5 or 6
