BG Custom Knives Fixed Blade with Kydex Sheath. Blade length approximately 5.5 inches, handle is about 4.3 inches. This is built like a tank, but with dimensions compact enough that it doesn’t look like you are carrying a sword. The images don’t convey just how well made this is.
The spine is very thick, with a deep belly, yet the tip is sharp. The fullers groove on the blade (aka blood groove) is about 3 inches long. I confirmed with Bastian of BG Knives that this is 01 Steel, with this particular model being a special build originally for a run with M3 Tactical.
It pains me to part with it but I simply don’t have a use for fixed blades since I don’t get out on the trail much. I have sharpened it with a fine ceramic rod, applied multiple coats of Flitz metal polish but have never used it. I think for the prices of BG Knives currently on their site I am about in the right ball park, but if you think differently let me know.
