Well.. life goes on. Love this thing. Will miss this beast. It has some scratches from sheath, and I've used one time to process a couple small pieces of wood for a fire just to see how it felt. (Pics angled to show scratches worse) Nothing major still slices paper clean. I've never had a knife this size that is this sweet and ergonomic. Scratches are superficial. Blade is shaving sharp.. cheers!
