This terrific bowie is available to the discerning buyer for $445 shipped CONUS, which is substantially below the maker's original 2008 price. The first unequivocal "I'll take it!" here in this thread gets it. Please, no trade offers at this time.

Here is what Karl himself had to say about this beauty:

One for the Blade Show, if I can hang onto it!
Not a full length "chopper", but I think it'll get the job done, regardless.
Stabilized curly bubinga take-down handle. Fully file shaped to fit the faceted spacer and butt cap. Both butt cap and guard have poilished facets, leaving the flat surfaces satin finished. I like this as it gives the hardware a "jeweled" look.
1/2 length un-sharpened clip.
A 7 1/2" differentially heat treated and satin hand-rubbed 5160 blade forged down from 1 inch square stock.
Overall length of 12 1/2" not including finial.
I had a lot of fun on this one!
Thanks for letting me share.

The top picture is Karl's, the bottom mine. The knife will come with the terrific pictured sheath, also done by Karl. The knife is unused and uncarried.

BTW, Karl originally made this knife for his JS stamp. According to Karl, by the time he got to Atlanta in 2008 with this knife, he had several knives that he could submit for his JS stamp. Because he could not decide which ones to choose, he basically covered up his knives and picked his submissions at random. Unfortunately, this was not one that was picked, but the quality is unquestionably there.
