Microtech Chameleon Valloton as NIB # 336 4/96 original owner, never carried or used, solid lockup, fires hard or opens smoothly with thumb stud...SOLD shipped CONUS...Paypal only...Do not bid if you cannot legally receive or possess this knife. I reserve the right to sell or refuse sale to anyone, but an "I'll take it" post followed promptly by PM or email for PP information should do the trick. Let me know if you want insurance at additional cost...otherwise my liability ends at shipper. Not interested in trades.

Blade length 3 1/2"...8" overall. The markings on the blade include Series #336, date 4/96, Microtech logo, Chameleon, and the Valloton logo on the back side. There is an "AEBL" marking adjacent to the thumb stud on the Microtech side of the blade, but no other markings. I have no other indication of blade steel.

Thanks for looking.

AEB-L is the steel type. Google it...

AEB-L – Made up of Carbon: .67%, Chromium: 13.00%, Manganese: .60%, Phosphorus: .025%, Sulfur: .015%, Silicon: .40% Originally developed for razor blades, this steel is known for the ability to take a very fine edge. It has extremely high corrosion resistance with a medium range wear resistance making it very easy to sharpen. Devin Thomas is one of the current masters of this steel using it extensively in his mid-tech lines. This is very pure steel and is very similar to 13C26.

Thanks to gzb
