I purchased this knife directly from the maker. It has never been carried, used, or sharpened. Blade is of 3/16" 1095 steel with tapered tang hand rubbed to 2000 grit, and etched to highlight it's remarkable hamon. Blade is ground to near zero, with a secondary bevel to prevent chipping. The spine is slightly rounded for batoning; spine edges are sharp for striking fire steel. Stabilized Koa wood scales from Burl source.
Maker's Specs:
3/16" 1095 stock
Differentially heat treated with clay
Parks 50 Quench - HT to RC 60 - 61
4 - 1/2" blade
9" OAL

416 stainless furniture
Koa scales with matching 1/4" fire steel
Thumb jimping on spine
8 - 10 ounce Wickett & Craig leather sheath
Price is $285 > $245 shipped via PayPal goods & services, US sale only. No trades, please.
