First up is a mid-tech Hunter in gunkote by Burt Foster. The knife is a few years old, but is unused and uncarried. Burt's prices have been going up over time and will continue to go up. Here is your chance to get one of his knives at original cost plus shipping. It comes with the pictured sheath as well as a very nice carrying case.

This is what Burt had to say about these knives:

It's been quite a while since I made any Blue Collar Hunters, and part of the reason was that the cost was going to have to go up to keep up with expenses, and I really didn't want to do that. These knives are supposed to be affordable enough so that they'll get lots of use. So, these blades have been water jet cut, but are otherwise the same as the blue collar knives I've made in the past. Some Mastersmiths will not mark their blades if they are not forged or if they are sub-standard quality, but I don't want people to get the impression that because they are stock removal or that they lack the MS that these knives are any less quality than a forged blade, so they are marked with the year and my MS on the reverse, like all my knives, but I used a modified logo on the front to designate these knives as water jet. The logo is my standard but this time, they have a little water drop to the left of the logo.The blades are made from 1/8" O-1, and after all the grinding and finishing, they are just under 1/8" thick at the spine. That makes them really mean cutters. The blades are thin and flat and they really cut like a laser. The forged blades were always a little thicker. The handles on these knives are G-10, in either green or midnight which is a gray/black color. The hardware is stainless with a stainless lanyard tube. The sheaths are Wickett and Craig 9 oz leather and have a belt loop with a slight forward cant to make carrying and drawing a little easier. They are not heavily decorated but are very solid and very clean. The blades are 3.5" long with an overall length of 7.5". The knife is designed to hold with three fingers around the handle and the pinky around the butt. This keeps the handle locked in the palm of your hand better than a handle that you simply grip with all four fingers. When you hold it, you'll get the feel of it pretty quickly. As you can see, the blades come in two finishes. The first is the standard satin finish I've been doing on blue collar blades since I started making them. The other is a flat black KG Gunkote finish. Gunkote is a super tough, baked on finished designed for firearms and it is super-durable. All exposed steel on these knives is covered with Gunkote, even the tang. The only exposed steel is at the very cutting edge where the knife is sharpened. If you want the performance of carbon steel without the maintenance, you'll really like this. Both blade finishes are available in either the green or black G-10. The satin finished knives in either color are $175 each and the Gunkote finished knives are $195 each. Next up is a Fiddleback Arete, 5/32" thick, O1 steel, natural canvas micarta with an orange pinstripe and a tapered tang. The weight of the knife is 5.0 oz. I am selling this only because I have this same model coming in a different handle configuration. It is an excellent knife in every way. I picked this up in a very recent offering from Andy and it has not been carried, but I did use it once to cut up an apple.

Original cost to me was $265, but it can be yours for $245 $230 shipped USPS Priority CONUS.

I will ship internationally, but the buyer will have to assume additional actual shipping costs over a certain amount.

Thanks for the compliment. It does feel incredible in hand, even for my larger mitts. Unfortunately, it's not getting used or carried and so I thought someone else could give it a better home. And even as someone who does not really like coated blades, this one is beautiful. Burt did a great job with these.

I do not presently know, but will try to get the knife to an accurate scale and post the weight sometime tomorrow if not already sold by then.

Crap, I was hoping it was heavier. Now I gotta start digging in my couch cushions to see if I can come up with some extra $. :)

No worries; this knife will be worth it. And BTW, I do not think I said it before, but I can do a pain-free payment plan for those interested who don't quite have all the cash up front. :)
