Swoop,

The SOP is indeed made by Newt Livesay.

It was one of his larger-scale production models. Laser or water cut, ground by hand, heat treated and parkerized to the black finish.

Newt made a very decent knife, usually delivered sharp as a brick, but easily made right.

The SOP's were made of straight-up 1095 as a rule, decent heat-treat on them, not much to go wrong at all.

$50 on this is a very fair price currently.

Martin mini bushcraft tactical sold to Shockjockey24 (finds received, thanks!).

PARKER: thanks for the info on the Newt Livesay SOP, much appreciated.

Hey, Man-I'd sure like the Red G-10 Martin Tejas folder. Please send total price w/shipping-and your name & address. I'll get a USPS money order in the mail first thing tomorrow morning. [ email is glider-man@hotmail.com ] Thanks, GliderMike.

On the standard Martin BT (Item #2), what is the material of the Guard/Hilt?
It looks like brass...

thanks!
