Figuring out what sheath came with what SOG and when can be a bit tricky. As I bought this Seal 2000 used, I'm not even sure this sheath is original to the knife. It does work perfectly though. I believe the kydex sheath was after the first cordura sheath. There is a discussion of the older cordura sheath with pictures here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1324538-Sog-2000-seki-information . Then the knife changed to the Seal Team and came with the sheath above with an option of a kydex version. It is not uncommon for SOG to use old stock for new runs. Example: I have midnight tigershark that is marked SMCA even though when these were made the company was in Edmond and all the other knives in that run were marked as such.
