I wasn't sure if this would fit in the General Knife Discussion forum (and it would be buried before I got an actual answer), so this forum seemed like the best place to put it.

I really like the look of carbon fiber handles on knives, but I know they're hideously expensive most of the time and mostly limited to sprint runs on certain models from certain manufacturers. Would any of you fellows be able to give me an estimate of how much it would cost for someone to make a set of handles for my SOG Vulcan? I think it's a very nice knife overall (especially for $100), but the handles feel somewhat cheap to me. And do you think it's worth it to pay the price of the knife again (or more) just for a set of nice handle scales?

You could make your own, carbon mods sells great little kits to mold cf parts, I made a couple non load bearing parts for my supermoto that way.
