I was originally commissioned to make 100 of these for Hire Heroes, an organization that helps soldiers gain employment in the civilian job market. The person who hired me purchased one at an art show I was doing. I am currently donating 15% of proceeds to The Wounded Warrior Project.

"This pen symbolizes the paradox of freedom. Unfortunately, the price of freedom sometimes requires the ultimate sacrifice through warfare. The section is representative of our willingness to preserve our freedom at all costs. It is constructed with red, white, and blue Corian. The bottom section represents the mechanism of action to preserve our freedom and features an actual 30-06 Springfield cartridge machined to accept the writing mechanism. The writing nib is an actual full metal jacket bullet modified to house the pen refill."

The famous M-1 Garand rifle was originally chambered in 30-06 Springfield. Although the cartridge features polished brass, over time, it will start to develop a patina. The shine can be easily restored with brass polish or left alone giving it an aged character. The pen cartridge is a standard cross refill.

I currently have 5 of these available.

Price: $70 shipped (U.S. Only)
I take credit card (direct), PayPal, money orders
