Price of Living

Cooper is a more expensive brand too. I've always used the BFG All-Terrain TA, size 31x10.5r15. They haven't gone up much over the last ten years. Last I checked anyway...

Just checked and they're $143 at Sams Club. If that's more expensive than when I bought two years ago, it's not much more at all.

That BFG is a great tire. I just put a new set on my 6 year old Ford Ranger FX4. I got 88,000 miles out of the first set and although they didn't have much bite left to them, they sure didn't owe me anything. I also found there performance to be very good overall but really heavy snow and maybe some mud were all they ever tackled.

You found a better price than mine. I paid $159 a tire plus $60 for mounting at the Ford Dealer. On the other hand, the dealer wasn't any more expensive than the tire shops around here.

i used to have the same ones but at $200 a pop and getting around 30 thousand klicks out of them i switched to the mud terrain
a bit more noise and vibration but they are wearing much better

The tires for my deceased Grand Marquis seemed to take about a 50% price increase at the same store same exact tire in 4 years.
