This is probably the finest folder Tom McCluin ever made.
He is now retired though he was once a highly respected maker from Massachusetts. There are references to Tom right here on BF. As well as links to elephant ivory scales on some beautiful knives.
A really stunning and finely made folder with superb action and lockup. Heavy in hand and balanced.
Masterpiece Elephant Ivory scales that have taken on a warm patina with zero cracking or checking, not even close. The Damascus Blade is a work of art itself, with an obvious Hamon and differentiated edge steel with super sharp grind. Blade Dynamics are brilliant.
Really Extraordinary craftsmanship and build quality.
The Back-bar has inlaid Mother of Pearl and Abalone mixed with superb file work.
I have owned this knife since about 2000 and have always been amazed with how nice it is, even compared with the likes of world class famous makers.
It has a custom leather sheath that is perfectly made to fit the knife.
The knife is in original and excellent condition.
It will be hard to part with - Just because of money.
I guess you figured out by now, I'm fond of this particular knife, not because of the specific notoriety of the maker , but because it's a Tour de Force knife.
I wish I knew who crafted this great blade, it is really perfect in every way.

Elegant and strong with rare and Classic Handle Scales. Deeply carved bolster and handmade screws and pivots.
Any questions , please ask.
Pictures do not do it Justice. Ask Jim
Cooper his opinion, he may remember it.

$700, PayPal works.
Thanks,
