Let's go $155 from now through tomorrow (Monday) 9/13 at 3:00PM Mountain.
If she's not gone by then she becomes my new EDC or a gift to one of my boys.
That's a deal for ancient walrus ivory on a razor sharp EDC my friends! Ask any of the other Kestrel owners out there and there are plenty of them.

"Kestrel – In Fossil Walrus Ivory”

Another of my popular “Kestrel’s” only this time it’s wearing Fossil Walrus Ivory slabs assembled in a mosaic pattern. This one will do the job of many a larger blade. It is fast in the hand and feels great. The differentially hardened blade has and will hold, a wicked sharp edge. This piece can be used for delicate things like birds or for skinning out a large whitetail - either way it's ready for the task at hand.

The ivory used on this piece is from the center of the tusk and is called “Tapioca” – take a close look and you will see why. Fossil Walrus Ivory is a minimum of 100 years old and can be as much as 2,000 years old. It is collected by the natives of St. Lawrence Island in the Bering Sea off the coast of Alaska about 160 miles west of Nome. Much of it is unearthed in the spring thaw while other pieces are churned from the sea and deposited on the beaches by the "Perfect Storms" that occur in the area in the winter. Like Mammoth Ivory, it derives its many colors from the minerals in the soil in which it was buried. Ancient Walrus ivory is much harder to acquire than Mammoth ivory and thus, it is much more rare and expensive. In my opinion, it is the jewel of all ivories.

This is a beautiful little knife. What a perfect EDC, but alas, I am hoping for a Hoover in my near future and so I must let this one go. Like beautiful women, you can want them all, but you must choose to let some go. (More to the point, they won't even give you a second glance - but there's no poetry in that sentiment!) Anyway, no pressure Joe, but Wayne, I love this Kestrel. I'm sure it will fly off this forum in no time.

Very nice work!

Thanks guys, much appreciated. Johnathan - I really like your recent Tanto with the hamon - nice work as well. And Mr. Ray - no harm, no foul. Joe is one of my buddies and he does fine work. You won't go wrong there.

I want to get this Kestrel a home! It's the only piece that I have that is dated 2009 as it was made last December. I misplaced it for a bit and just found it this weekend here in my office. Is it a sign that it wants me to keep it? Hmmmm.

I'll take her Wayne. Email on its way, thanks.

Dego1 - Thanks a bunch, the knife is yours. I sent you a note via email this morning but in case you see this first here's the scoop...

Good Ol' PayPal froze your payment on me because you mentioned the word knife" in the text on your payment. They have become super liberal and are against guns and now knives. What is funny is that I didn't hide anything from them, the name on the account is Jarrett Knives LLC for crying out loud. So please read the email I sent for other important info regarding this transaction. Thanks again. :)

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain! After re-reading PayPals restrictions on knife sales, all is well - and they finally released the funds. Sheesh!
