Prices have gone up

I am not complaining or questioning if they are worth it, but I just noticed several changes on the CRK website. Prices have gone, at least on the sebenzas. The other thing I noticed was that the spa treatment no longer has prices listed. Again not an indictment just an observation and a heads up to anyone who was thinking of ordering.

Damn, and I almost ordered a Mnandi yesterday before the increase.

Oh well, I guess I'll go secondary market now

Hmm..... I wonder for the people who put in an order a while ago and are still waiting will have to pay the new price. I have a raindrop damascus 21 Ive been waitining for
a few months and that price increase would be pretty substantial.

The price of the small 21 unique graphic is now $480. I remember paying $385 for my small unique silver contrast. That's quite an increase . Is this all because of S35VN?

Wow, I was on the fence before buying one at the previous prices. No way I'll get another one now. For me Chris Reeve just crossed the line into brazen greed, though I'm sure others will disagree. I'm guessing other companies' offerings at the Blade Show will expose these knives as even more overpriced.

Cheers,
Isaeus

D: the lisa's pick small is $545 now, thank god i bought mine before this price change. I wish they'd put a little note as to what may have caused the rise in price >.< i need to hurry and get an Umnum before there's another rise. Granted the Umnum didn't rise too much, but the unique graphics/cabochon did >.< i'm so sad now

Where are you seeing this price? The small unique on their website is $480.

Wow. I kinda thought I was under paying for the unmnum compared to a large sebbie anyway. I am curious to what caused the price increase though...

the large 21 went up $25. I am sorry but steel prices do not go up that much. I could understand $5. Now i am left wondering how long before the secondary market increases their prices.

It seems like everything is going up in price in today's world. His prices have been the same the last two or three years so I'm not surprised that they have increased. I'm sure the cost of operating a small shop with 15 or 20 employees is expensive.

I don't remember exactly how long it's been since CRK last raised prices, but I think it's been more 5/6/7/8 years. Frankly, it's been so long I have been wondering when they were going to raise them again.

This is just an example of Economics 101 - Supply and demand, compounded by an oversupply of dollars in the market (ie inflation). The end result is that your dollar won't buy as much right now as it did a couple of years ago. Material cost increases are only part of it.

Don't forget if CRK now has over 25 employees, he gets to have fun with our new healthcare laws. Great news, huh?

Exactly Steve!

No biggie here but i was fortunate enough to get onboard with my small collection before the price increase.
The way i see it, all second hand CRK's (mine/yours) just increased in value on the B/S/T market as well.

This pretty much says it all guys............With no price increase in several years ( while everything else increases yearly, monthly, daily ), CRK has stayed the same. The prices are not much higher and are VERY Justifiable !!! Keep The Great Products Coming CRK !!!
