I want to thank very many of you whom have accepted me as a member of the community here and there are way too many to name individually. I found this place by accident, while searching for info on an old knife, which I was thinking about buying and my search landed me on Blade Forums. I began lurking for quite a while, as many others do, and later signed up for membership and started posting. I bet many of you might be surprised that I did not have a single photo of any of my knives until I came here. The photos here inspired me to dig out my old camera gear and start taking pictures of my collection. I am happy to say that I have most of my knives photographed now!

It was also my accidental finding of BF that caused me to become captivated by Waynorth's Charlows.

My mail call today was extra ordinary - it consisted of two packages and a spring green envelope. As you can see the contents were pretty impressive for a knife person. The two cards were from Jennifer (user name Jone) and her young daughter Riley (user name to be determined). A coin was carefully wrapped and attached to the card - a perfectly mint 2010 Chucky Cheese token from young Riley - boy is mom teaching that young lady knife etiquette or what !:eek::D Some may remember that I sent a yeller tiny toothpick to young Riley, via her knife loving mother. A wonderful thank you from both mother and daughter - and so much appreciated!! :

I don't think I need to tell you what young Riley's card said - you can see for yourself.

Up next - I opened the mailer from Marksharp - I already knew he was sending me a knife - I just did not know what knife! The HATCH knife! The old knife that everyone who saw it adored. I was stunned by this gift and once again by the generosity of the members here! I am in debt to you Mark for such a fine gift!!!:thumbup::)

and last, but, not the least - a grail Charlow in Antique Amber saw-cut bone with long pull clip main. Evan (user name esnyx) traded this wonderful knife to me for another nice Charlow, which I had. I was so grateful that he made the trade, but, as we communicated back and forth, I was joking about my fantasy TC leather slip and he later asked me if I wanted to give a leather pouch a try. I said yes and thought he would send me a few basic items - instead it appears he gave me his whole tool box of leather making tools and leather supplies!! All he forgot was a new tool box for me to keep it all in!:thumbup::D

and the new to me Charlow:

There are others who have lended me a helping hand and who have been very generous, including Stephen (Old & in the Way), Duane (Sitflyer), Barry (Gunstock Jack), Paul (pmew), and Waynorth has also offered assistance in helping me with my Charlow interests. Jon Slider has also provided me with valuable information. I thank you all so very much and I truly hope that I have not left anyone out.

Best regards to everyone!

Yes as Duane stated, "we are the lucky ones"!

Just so special for Riley to send coin and cute card! Awesome, Jennifer.

Wow...the Hatch....now that thing has some classic looks!! Good on you, Mark!

And that TC is a beauty! Kudos to Evan

Can't wait to see the pouch come alive!

We will have Barry critique your finished product:eek:

Thanks for sharing these poignant communications with us Rob!

That is a really nice card, Riley! I like the coin, too!

That Antique Amber clip Barlow is beautiful; one of my (and Tom's) faves!!

Primble, aka Rob? You truly are a deserving soul:thumbup:

To coin a phrase from my grade school days..."Neato badito I am the Frito Bandito"

Always loved to put those Frito Bandito erasers on our pencils;):D

Everything about this post is priceless as are you:thumbup:

That is why this place is the best corner or the Internet. Some truly outstanding folks hang out here. That Charlow is a beauty, I am hoping to score one like it with a secondary blade. I will start the hunt for one when I get some expendable funds again, spent my budget on the forum knife. Thanks for sharing.

Chris

More than the Hatch, thank you card, leather or Charlow, the love of friends is what gives life worth and you are a rich man indeed. Thanks for sharing and for such great photos.

In my short time here, there have been a few members that have stood out, and you are one Primble. Your passion for photography in catching all these wonderful knives have to offer has been a joy to see. Also the generosity and kindness of the members that frequent this section never ceases to amaze. I'm glad it was your turn. Definitely some treasures in the mail today! Thumbs up to Jone, Riley, Makesharp, Waynorth, and the others that have inspired you!!

What a great group of people we have in this forum, and I couldn't think of a more deserving member!

Congratulations on a truly remarkable mail day, Primble.

The Charlow is just stunning and was certainly a worthy quest knife.

And I don't even know where to begin when it comes to the Hatch, it's got just about everything a person (or at least this person) could ever desire in an old knife. Simply gorgeous! Good on Mark for the very generous gift.

Jennifer, please pass along my compliments to young Riley for her good manners, and also for her excellent taste and artistic style. :)

And Primble, as I'll want to be at the front of the queue when you get your new leather goods business off the ground, please go ahead and mark me down for one of those fantasy knife slips. ;)

In all seriousness, you're one of the real good guys, and I consider myself lucky to call you 'friend'. Thanks!
