This Knife Is DOUBLE EDGED And Extremely Sharp

It's 17" overall and weighs 27.5 oz.
The blade is 1095 spring steel 11. 15/16" X 1. 15/16" X 1/4" thick (3/8" at
the blade catchers).
The guard, bolster, and pommel sides are 1018 steel WELDED
to the full tang.

The blade catchers are engraved;

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick,
and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword..

Hebrews 13:6 So that we may boldly say, the Lord is
my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me

The handle is 4. 7/8" long with scales of Black Locust Burl.
There is a 3/8" lanyard hole in the pommel (no lanyard incl.).
The sheath is 10 oz. leather with black steel rivets and a
black steel snap. There are attachment points on the back
for adding leg ties (not incl.) etc.
It's cemented at the spacer and hand stitched
using doubled waxed nylon saddle stitching thread making for an
extremely rugged, rough use sheath.

The rough beveled blade is reheated in the forge to glowing red
and quenched in strained used motor oil. After it's cleaned of slag
it's brought back up in temp. until it can be struck with a file.
I leave the file marks showing. I like a handmade knife to look
handmade.
This is how I harden / tempor my blades. They hold an edge
extremely well.

SOLD incl. S/H in the U.S. Paypal only please.
1st. "I'LL TAKE IT" to mcswood@msn.com takes it.

Thanks for looking,
Mike

I was very interested in this knife but for me the engraved bolted on blade catchers take away from the knife..My opinion only..

Thank you. Your opinion is appreciated and wanted.
I won't do another like it. So it's more one of a kind than usual.

The engraving adds substantially to the knife for me. Definitely one of the best knives I have seen on the forum. Just a little out of my price range but I am sure it will sell soon.

Keep me in mind over the next couple of months if you make another one with the exact same blade, a handle about 2 inches longer, micarta grips and a black leather sheath.
