This Knife Is DOUBLE EDGED And Extremely Sharp
( I can render this single edged with a false edged top clip if needed)

It's 17. 1/8" overall and weighs 28.5 oz.
The blade is 1095 spring steel 11. 3/4" X 1. 15/16" X 1/4" thick (3/8" at the blade catchers)
The guard, bolster, blade catchers and pommel sides are 1018 steel WELDED
to the full tang.

The handle is 5. 1/8" long with scales of Curly Maple.
There is a 3/8" lanyard hole in the pommel (no lanyard incl.).
The sheath is 10 oz. leather with black steel rivets and a
black steel snap. There are attachment points front and back
for adding leg ties (not incl.) etc.
It's cemented at the spacer and hand stitched
using doubled waxed nylon saddle stitching thread making for an
extremely rugged, rough use sheath.

The rough beveled blade is reheated in the forge to glowing red
and quenched in strained used motor oil. After it's cleaned of slag
it's brought back up in temp. until it can be struck with a file.
I leave the file marks showing. I like a handmade knife to look
handmade.
This is how I harden / tempor my blades. They hold an edge
extremely well.

SOLD incl. shipping in the U.S. (Pay Pal).
1st. "I'LL TAKE IT" to my e-mail mcswood@msn.com takes it.

Thanks for looking,
Mike

That has to be the most bada$$ed knife I've seen on BF!! I don't get into big knives, but if I had the extra dollars, I'd be jumpin' on that bad boy! Great work!

Someone buy this before I buy another one. I have two of Mike's knives and they are tanks to put it lightly.

man oh man... and a steel :p [pun intended]

wish i had the funds, looks like a helluva insurance policy against when society breaks down...

This looks awfully impressive. I'm curious what the purpose is of the piece bolted to the spine...I'm sure it has a function, but I'm not savvy enough to figure it out. Thanks and congrats to whoever ends up with this one.
