Primitive knife build on Alaska the last frontier

I think it's an entertaining show, but I think it's cheesy too. Still, it's one of the better ones. Hard to fake a charging bear that gets shot dead, hard to fake getting scoped when the shooter doesn't know how to shoot a rifle, etc.

My favorite reality tv gag is when you see the starring character walk into a store/house/whatever, and the person inside (where the crew is filming) is surprised to see them. Always watch the camera angles.

Reality tv has more uav's than the military, and atlf has that goofy song by pop star Jewel (related to the family). Fun to watch, but I don't take any of it too seriously.

Anyone see the guy re-ht the axe on Live Free or Die? He walks from his heating source (where he gets the axe sort of red hot) and takes about 20 seconds to dip it in the swamp. Lame, although it's possible he thinks it's possible...
I was going to ask if their name was Kilcher. not Kilchner and if they were related to the girl who has sold almost 30 million records and has tons of money .;)

Just a small portion of the 'scrap steel' I acquired a few years ago... :D

LOL. How much of that stuff did you originally find lying in that big hole on the tundra next to all of those dead hairy elephants? I am not the only guy who bought at least a couple of hundred pounds of that stuff from you a fir number of years ago. By the way, i still have all of that square stock minus the one pice used for the first Cancer benefit bowie and a pretty good chunk of the round bar.:D

... old saw blades are good stuff! I've made well over 1000 saw blade knives and never a complaint. I'm using 15N20 from a 12" wide band saw blade right now in damascus.

Hey Don.... Fill out your profile and you might find a maker near you who can give you some real knife steel :D

Ended up being over 25,000 lbs & sold over 20,000. That square stock was a different batch and I believe a higher carbon. We say mammoth anymore and try not to to use the eleph' word or the one that starts with I... ;)

Warm blooded non-avian kind sorta dinosaur roofers? I think in the end, I bought like 250 pounds of the round bar and judging by how hard it is to move the Post Office bin, at least 100lbs of the square stuff. I remember you telling me that the round stuff was cleaner.
