Hey all,

This morning I stumbled onto this blog while I was searching the web for nettle cordage. It is an excellent source of information from a young man who makes all sorts of survival/bushcraft gear in Norway. For example, he is making 1000m of nettle cordage so he can make a fish net....wow, over 3000ft of cord.

It's one of the best I've seen. Hands-down. This morning in one hour of reading, I have learned at least ten new ways of doing things - and seen great photos of primitive skills being practiced.

I don't recall seeing this on BF before, and I hope this isn't a repost of something you all are already aware of, but I really thought I should pass this along.

Regards,

Very interesting site. Looks like the guy is having a tough time right now, so hopefully he can bag some fatty game soon.

I added it to my bookmarks and will be checking in every now and then to see how he is doing. The bone knife is cool, but I think I'll stick with my O1 blade for now. :)

Tools like his are the reasons that we find limited amounts and types of antique stone tools in many regions. In areas that lack natural flint and volcanic glass materials native people often craft tools from bone, antler, bamboo, and wood.
