Hey, primitivesupply.com looks like he had some nice slingshots. Anyone have experience dealing with this individual or does anyone know where I could get any better or close in preformace slingshots? Also I remember Ragweedsforge having a LOT more tomahawks then what he has now just wondering when you think he will get more because I was looking to buy a few that are not there anymore. Finally I was looking to get a big bore blowgun and darts for it and CutleryShoppe.com looks they had some really good prices. Wondering if any of you dealt with them before. Thanks.

Hey Mini...

Would be Really nice if he would put some prices on his site...

Personally I use Wrist rockets..
Easy to shoot,, and parts are easily found at most any department stores..

He has some nice fire kits there for sure..

Slingshots are really simple and haven't really been improved on since the folding wrist brace model. Any mart store has good ones and ammo, my favorite that I carry is a made in china knock off but I like the size and it folds up nice and flat. As far as the fire kits, primitive supply's look pretty good, but I like to know the price. Chris

Alright running boar that still leaves me with a question. He says the lowest poundage ones he has are around 40 lbs. pull back. Plus he has ones much higher then that. My 10 dollar K-Mart one is no where near that. How are is slingshots different from the rest of them?

He buys different weight latex bands and makes his own rubbers, very easy to do. You can also buy commercially made rubbers in different weights. Trumark, I believe is who I have seen with the different weights. I personally like the tapered bands and have put a 45 cal lead ball through and through a cottontail from about 10yds with the tapered rubbers. Remember that latex breaks down relatively quickly, a slingshot, even with spare rubbers is not something you can put in a kit and forget about.

There is no way I would pay anything for his slingshots, 12 year olds have been making the same thing for a 100 years.

Oh alright so its just a different rubber used. That will save me some money, thanks for the explanation.

Those look real good I would make sure I get one with a wrist brace and that folds. Here is the one that I carry, it is very small and compact but packs a punch, on the brace it says "pocket rocket", my favorite ammo is 45 cal lead balls for muzzle loaders.

Alright thanks, I'll probably get one of the ones I listed. Where would you go about getting 45 cal. lead balls? Or could you use something else like nuts(metal ones) or marbles? And I saw the site I listed had something they called 1\2 glass ammo. They were like 168 for 6.50 though, which isn't real cheap.

Get a cheap mould off ebay, scrounge some wheel weights and mould your own for free, IMO glass marbles aren't heavy enough and nuts won't fly straight. Chris

How exactly would a mould work? I looked on ebay and with shipping I could get 1 or 2 wasn't sure for like 17 dollars. I never heard of moulding your own ammo and I'm confused.

That does answer my question, I read it all and it doesn't seem lead casting is for me. Just doesn't seem worth it to do all this stuff just for some slingshot ammo. Have any other ideas for ammo that is easily obtainable?

That site mention there shipped anywhere? I might invest in a couple hundred lead balls for larger stuff like rabbit and squirrel. The smaller stuff I could probably use marbles for.
