Click on the above Drill Chart to create a full-size printable version…

This drill chart is a copy of the one that came in the inside cover of my Travers Tool Co., Inc. catalog. It is about the most comprehensive one I have ever seen (including ones you might have to pay for…

This chart covers all drill sizes, numbered, lettered, metric, and fractional drills from size 80 (0.01350) up to 1 inch… I’m sorry to say that I do not know how the folks outside of the “Inch World” handle their drill sizes… Do you also use the Numbered and Lettered series with your “mm” sized drills???

The web site to Travers is:

Many of my friends have asked me to scan a copy on my scanner/printer and print them a copy, which I have done so gladly. Now I would like to share it with all of my new friends.

When I print it for my friends, I print it on Brochure Weight paper, 32 lb Bond. Plain bond paper is 20 lb, about half the weight and thickness, and then I cover both sides with laminating plastic sheets to protect it from wear, tear, and oily fingers…

Hope you all enjoy and find this as useful and I do. And do check out their web site.

:D

Interesting info Bruce. Having grown up with metric and being out of the 'Inch World' we have never used numbers or letters for drill sizes. Sizes are given as straight bore measurements which is pretty simple. But now I will be able to work out what sizes the rest of you guys are referring to in posts! . Thanks
