Pro Cut Grinder

I was wondering if anyone has a Pro cut belt grinder that Koval's used to sell. A friend of mine has one and it is missing a flat platen so we need to make one for him. If anyone has a grinder like this it and could give me the measurements of the platen that would be great.

I do have one. We just re-painted it and now use it for wet grinding. I made a few mods to the platen that make it more useful and more acceptable for a glass liner. Let me measure it today and I'll post you the meas. along with a couple of pics. I was a member of the Ohio knife makers group back when Mic and Judy were living.

The profile drawing is a tracing of the actual part. If you blow it up to where its full size it could be used as a pattern, just lay it on the steel plate and trace around it.

I added a section of angle to the bottom of the platen to stiffen it a little. It is directly under the 2" section of the platen at the very bottom and runs the length of the platen. Good luck with the build, Fred
