Here is a new offering, it is what I would call a light camp and hunting knife, good for dressing large game and doing cooking chores around camp. I call it the Pro Hunter, and
it is new for 2009.
The blade is 5/32” thick O-1 steel, full flat ground with a secondary bevel, and is 4-5/8” from the Nickel Silver bolsters to the tip, is 3-7/8” from the plunge lines to the tip. the over all length is 9-3/8”. Mirror finish. This knife is scary sharp.
The handle is Bocote, with 6 Nickel Silver pins and a thong hole tube.
The heat treat is as follows. Soaked for 10 min. at 1500° and quenched in 130° vegetable oil. Tempered at 375° for two cycles of two hours each. The charts show a 59-61 RC hardness, but this is from a steel company heat treat chart and not tested.
The sheath is 8-9 oz leather, hand stitched and tooled, I will post pics of the sheath later this weekend.
$155.00 Postal Money orders only. The first I'll take it gets it.
Price includes priority mail and signature confirmation, and insurance to the lower 48 states.
If for any reason you are not fully satisfied with any of my knives, just contact me and return it within 10 days of receipt in new condition for a full refund. This does not include abuse such as throwing and using as a screw driver or pry bar.

Thanks for looking

Wow that is a beautiful skinner/camp knife. If I wasn't up to my elbows in skinners I'd be emailing you right now.

Here are some more pics of the knife and sheath.

Thanks for looking, and for the comments. Dale

I've had a chance to see this one in person and it is beautiful.
That Bocote is an eye catcher, Dale.
Later,
Iz

This knife feels good in the hand, the balance point is just where the bolster and wood meet. It would make a great knife for a hunter or collector. Any and all comments welcome, good or bad. Thanks for looking, Dale.

I just love the look of that tool. Begging to be beat up, unfortunately! It's beautiful, but in a way that makes you want to use it. Fine, fine, fine work...:):)
