Who is the best person to send my bk9 to to have professionally sharpened?

Josh at Razor Edge Knives does indeed do great work but ... isn't that a bit over-kill for such a working blade?

How about asking one of your fellow Beckerheads over in the Becker Knife & Tool subforum for a favor -

I'm sure they'd put a great working edge on it for you for little or nothing.

Or how about just doing it yourself?

I built this oversized cross-stick sharpener for my BK9 for less than $10. A few feet of 1x2, a 3/4" dowel rod, and sandpaper.

Josh at Razor Edge Knives does some great work and is a supporting member here.

Josh. I know that there are others members that do good work, but Josh is the best. THE BEST. I mean it, and IMHO he is the best by a great amount. Skill, demeanor and integrity: Josh has them all. I am pretty sure that others will chime in and agree with me shortly...

BTW, I sent him my BK9 a while back. He took a great knife and made it absolutely amazing. He also did this with a Condor chopper. I think that Josh is more than worth every $ he charges (and he is not that expensive), and he is able to eek every bit of functionality out of even the most mundane knives.
