No problem, I think you should be able to keep a good working edge on with just stropping for a while. The ease of sharpening on the lower RC is a plus too.

Well it's a damn nice knife I think I'll keep it! Thanks everyone. And if anyone knows more about the hardness being all over the place on this knife I would love to hear why that is the case. Interesting side note on this subject...if you google images on the pro soldier and read the cards you will see the dates and the hardness show no consistency or timeline. Some made in 2012 are 57-58 and then some made in 2013 are 55-57. And vice versa. So it's hard to say, "oh they started making them harder due to customer feedback" because it went back and forth a few times. Weird.
