I bought this new about 2 months ago. Its the left hand version, but I actually carried it in my right pocket and used my index finger to open. Super quick action, no glitches. cm154 steel, black blade.
I sent this to a professional sharpener locally and he must have rubbed it against his wheel as there is a nick in the handle right near the blade.
