Problem: pivot screw loosening.

Hello guys,

looking for some advice on the following problem: after using one of my SB1s in sandy outdoors it appeared to have some fine grit in it, so I disassembled it for cleaning and lubricated it.

However, perhaps I used the wrong stuff, or made some other mistake, for after reassembling the knife the pivot screw keeps loosening up on me after opening and closing it 30 or 40 times...

Any ideas on how I caused this to happen and how to mend it?

Thanks, Christiaan.

It works well. Thats what Strider told me to do with my AR after cleaning and reassembling it. No problems at all with any of the screws coming back out, so I imagine it would take care of your problem on the Buck/Strider. You don't use too much, it only take a little bit of that stuff to secure a screw.

I'll give that a try, looked it up on the net, indeed seems to be what I am looking for.

Christiaan.
