Hi,
I think I have a problem with a new Wegner Jr.
When opening the blade, the blade locks at the 90 degree position as the ball on the liner lock snaps behind the pivot of the blade. The ball now sits in a 4millimeter grove on the blade. Further opening the blade causes the ball to hang up again against the last millimeter of the blade, before it opens. Closing it repeats all the above hangups.
When the blade is closed, the liner lock has a 1.5 millimeter gap between the lock and handle. Really sloppy.
This knife is numbered 335. I wonder if this is an old model with some teething problems, despite just getting it today. I can say this is one of the worst opening knives I have ever seen, despite what I've read.
The clip screws are fastened only into the grip material, not the inner liner.
Are they all like this? Am I just spoiled by my sebenza?
thanks for any input.
