Problem with my tenacious.

Well ive had a tenacious for about 1 month and its great until about a couple days ago when i close it you hear a little ping everytime now so i looked it over very carefully and found that the tang part or whatever the lock touches to hold it open has a little ding and its dented from closing the knife. Should i contact spyderco and send it back or what?

The tang is as hard as the blade and should not dent. Have you had the knife apart? If so are the pivot washers on the proper side of the blade? Small on the locking side. The washers could get damaged if the knife was disassembled and put back wrong. If this is OK then give them a call as Spyderco is great to deal with. Best of luck.
