It is the light in this EDC vid:

It should and always did click on on the first click. Now it takes 2 clicks that are momentary only as long as you hold the clicker down and then the 3rd click stays on. Any advice? All other functions work normally. I have not used this light like a Busse, so it's not any of my wrongdoing.

Not sure what's going on with it but I've heard Nitecore has good customer service. Slow because it has to be shipped all the way to China if I'm correct, but they should take care of it.

That looks like a Nitecore Extreme. I'd recommend clealing the threads (nitecores are very sensitive to dirty threads or too much lube) You could also try tightening the retaining ring around the rubber switch boot. If none of these things work there should be a spare switch in the box.

They have great CS, but you probably have to send it in.. Send them an e-mail and describe your problems and what you have tried in order to fix it.

+1. Take your basic No.2 pencil, and use the eraser to gently rub the contact areas. Next, take off any O-rings that could be damaged by alcohol, dip a cotton swab in isopropyl alcohol, then clean the threads. Once that's all good and done, you can add your o-rings back and lube up the threads.

Also, check to see if the clicky switch is a little loose. I usually use either needlenose pliers or a paper clip bent to fit into the two prongs associated with those parts. Rotate clockwise, and reassemble.

i have a few nitecore lights, including the one in your video which is the extreme.

i really like their brightness and size, but have had lots of reliability problems with the switches. so much so, that i wont carry one on duty. this goes for the rubber boots and the piston drives.

they would change brightness on their own, turn off, change modes, all manner of problems including yours. the only one i have that has been totally reliable has been an original infinity defender.

also, the clips and hardware suck. the screw heads strip on every one ive had, and they all back out.

haven't tried their cs.
