Problems with making a sword

It would be great to keep this thread on track, as I am very interested in the progress Dean makes. There has been some wonderful insight here, and good advice.

Oh Oh...this means I should probably make a WIP thread when I start my first practice work then WIP's when I work under the guidance of two or three top makers.

By the way Double Action, I can't find a contact for you or a web page. I'd like to learn more about your DA competition. I tried Cowboy action but it didn't work out for me. PM via my web?
