Altogether I have lost $2800 using Paypal as my financial conduit. I had conducted hundreds of transactions using Paypal and had even recommended them to my friends and collegues, then it happened. Several foreign buyers saw some of my listings, made purchases of my most expensive items, and paid through Paypal. After receiving the items, they did chargebacks through Paypal using some bogus reasons and PayPal sided with them. The items were sent via USPS Global Express and after delivery, showed that they were in fact delivered to confirmed addresses and were paid through verified accounts. I am done with PayPal.:jerkit: After making tons of money from fees from my sales, I could not believe that Paypal took the side of the crooks against me, an honest and consistent business partner of theirs. If anyone her know of another online alternative, please let me know.

I have had a similar problem with paypal but only got screwed for a few hundred. I think there is an alternative called Bid Pay or something. I'm not entirely sure about the name or even how they do business though but some sellers on the online auctions support them. Sorry to hear about those transactions and i hope this is somewhat helpful. The fees for this stuff can be a real pain aside from worrying about getting scammed.

I have heard of someone who uses paypal, but as soon as funds are available, he moves it to his verified bank account, when that clears, he moves the money to one paypal does not have access to. That might give you enough time to make your case, if they can't grab your money, they might listen.

same thing happened to me exept the POS Predator was in the us....paypal will never see another nickle from me.PAYPAL SUCK'S

i nearly got into the same situation when selling some stuff worth quite a bit of money. they will side with the buyers. its no use to shift funds over. There will be a negative balance and that will affect your future sales which will be deducted from there.

moving into an account takes time and can probably be stopped since they control the process.

there was another time I sold some books and when the buyer told me that he received less (obviously trying to scam) i just refunded the quantity that he claims was short. Did that to avoid him filing a case which he will win and i may end up losing more. next he had the cheek to claim he didnt receive his refunds. that was easy to proof. think he need help.

all these after charging all the fees. :thumbdn:

Paypal is what it is, does what they want to do, doesn't care much about the sellers. Try this link to see if you can get it done. Not an user because I have my own merchant accounts direct with the credit card companies. Hope it helps.

$2800.00! *Ouch*! That sucks.

After hearing horror story after horror story, I would never use PayPal where any sizeable sum of money was involved.

You might want to check out and add your voice to No PayPal. (Aka: PayPalSucks.com)

As for alternatives: I don't know how widely used or accepted they are, or what you can do with them, or whether their terms of service or customer service is any better, but there's BidPay and Google Checkout
