problems with trident folder

i bought a satin trident folder and since i bought it the s.a.t locks the blade closed but does not doublly lock it open any suggestions?

My understanding of all the assisted folders are; none of them locks the blade open, just closed. You can feel a slight resistance on some of them but this is only because the way the lock is made, it does not lock open by the switch on the side.

Of the S.A.T. line the ones that can be locked open are our lockback assisted opening knives, the Blink, Twitch I, Twitch II and Twitch XL. All of these knives have a lock on the lockbar that can be used to prevent it from releasing the blade in the open position.

The other S.A.T. knives, the Flash and Trident, only lock in the closed position. I hope this helps explain the differences for you.

Thanks Chris, it sure helps me I knew I felt a resistance when I locked the lock (blade open) on those models but did not think it was for locking the blade open, just closed.........DUH !!!l.......... .
