I kept putting off using my 2017 BCCI discount because some of the knives I wanted were were always marked unavailable..... Got in a rush this evening to just order what I could only to find out my discount code did not work. Last business day of the year and missed the office closing by 15 minutes....DANG!!

Did anyone else make used of the discount this year and what did you get?

Haven't used mine since they dropped the old Pro Site log in. Was going to use it a few years ago for an elk set of cutlery but like you I procrastinated and they dropped the elk. It's back now so I may use it this coming year, least I think I can use it for the cutlery sets?

thought customs, limited editions and kitchen cutlery werent allowed?

I was told the club discount didn't cover custom shop, limited editions or kitchen cutlery.
If you find out different please post here and let us all know

Darn it anyway. I know you can't use it in the custom shoppe or web specials but was hoping cutlery was ok. Oh well. That's about the only way I'd go for a set of the elk. Just too spendy at full price.

Bummer!Everything I want can't be discounted. I've never used mine.

Yes, wouldn't it be great if the discount could be used on LE's. You could still use your discount to buy some great gifts for cheap.

My information also said Cutlery was excluded.

I believe you have to request a new code every year now.

Once in a while something worth buying shows up on the regular part of the website.

You just have to be alert.

The discount is 40% off if I remember right. You can get the same deal from your favorite Dealer LO if your a bcci lifer, add 5% more if not. That covers any Buck in the catalog all year every time.

Buck website discount for BCCI members is more like 60% as I recall.......but the problem is......it's a rare thing indeed to see the special and desirable knives available there.

It's good for buying the normal line of knives for gifts, but that's about it.

L.O. is truly the best bet for most of us.

60% off. The first code I received from the club worked on everything. Limited editions, web specials etc. I wasn’t greedy and only used it a few times but then they supposedly upgraded their system or something and it quit working period. I got a new one from calling Buck and it only worked one time. It was on a limited edition this year. Hard telling...

Even if it you used it on an elk kitchen set that will still set you back. I’m happy with my made in China set on those.

I'm a BCCI Lifer, but know nothing about the discount. Sounds good, where do I get a code or more information? Call Buck?

From what others have posted in other threads I believe you call Buck and get your code from them.

I think BUCK or BCCI needs to put out a definitive statement on the club discount program and publish it in the March newsletter. Who is the person to ask?

The 60% sounds like a lot but the website prices are so inflated that it doesn't really get you the great deal you might expect.

On most knives the big box discount stores and best internet prices are close to your discounted price......

But, like I said, once in a while something comes along and I buy.

The real advantage is that you are buying direct from Buck so you know you're getting the real thing.

One of the other benefits in addition to the discount was Bucks free shipping on orders over $50 and no sales tax. That sweetened the deal even when compared to the big box stores. Unfortunately Buck has some type of presents in my state so I now have to pay the 5.3% tax on my orders from Buck. Not as much of a deal now.
