Careful, all those xxx's in one post will bring out Flexxx like saying candyman 3 times in the mirror.

Back Blast Area All Clear!!!!

speaking of flexxx where the hell has he been?

Nice bk15 btw. I LOVE IT. its awesome and really, compared to the bk5, its swedge is much thicker and easier on the occasional baton. Plus once i held mine, i cant think of a better knife to clean a deer with. not to mention its still small enough to clean fish and fowl too. Its a damn homerun is what it is

Think hes spending most his time on the jungle forum. They allow a lil more roudiness ;)

mmm, more Becker goodness. though i do see some of the old style creeping back in there. none of you can stay on topic for crap ;)

That 15 looks awesome. Thanks for the pics and for helping me confirm that the 15 will be my next Becker.

I have a 15 on the way. Not sure if I will strip mine just yet. May have to test the new coating for a while first. Now I'll be waiting for the micarta grips!

I looked around for information on this "new" finish you guys are talking about but couldn't find anything. Can someone point me in the right direction or clue me in?

My next purchase was going to be a BK2 until I saw this thread. Am wondering about this finish.

Thanks :)

More than likely, the cost factor, plus more delay. They would have to make new dies, etc, to stamp it out differently. Notice the difference in the BK2 mock ups I did. I had to move the sharpening choil back:

Hey Warrior would you mind if I use your BK2 pic in my sig?

The old finish is smooth and the brand mark is stamped in the blade (as seen in the bottom pic here). The new is more textured and more durable and the branding is laser etched.

Ah. Thanks mrn8. After reading about BRab's BK2 test, I'm hard pressed to not order and wait for a BK2 before I even go out of the house. If accosted by a lawn mower, heater thingy, refrigerator, cinder block or brick, what will I do to defend myself?

These new ones will just have to be added to the list.

Awesome! I really like the look of that BK15. I think that will be the first one I get with the new coating.

Thanks for the pics.
Same here, I have one coming from moose as i type this. Very excited to check the coating out!
