Are there any production folding knives currently available with CPM154 blade and a street price under $100? I know there are better steels available in this price range, I'm just curious about CPM154 availability.

I shouldn't have to mention that I am NOT talking about 154CM, but I'll mention it anyway. :D

There are many but the BM Griptilian instantly comes to mind. Best bang for the buck IMO.

Edit:
Crap, just woke up and haven't noticed that you're talking about CPM-154.

You won't find one, Buck did a limited run of their 110 awhile back.

KershW has some LE Blurs with Green and Purple aluminum scales. Pretty darn cool, i got the purple one.

Benchmade has a couple. Grip, minigrip, pardue. Maybe some others also

Along with the green and purple blurs for kershaw there was also a burnt orange one if you look around.

CPM154 is easier on tooling than 154CM. I would think the increased toughness would reduce warranty costs as well. I'd say that even though the stock costs maybe 40% more that those two facts would make total cost comparable to 154CM for a company with lifetime warranties.

Not sure if everyone read his post. He's looking for CPM154....NOT 154CM

Production folders with CPM154 and under $100? I'd be interested to know this myself. Thread subbed

Yes, you haven't been paying attention much I guess. What s the listing for the knife on this link say the blade steel is?
http://www.gpknives.com/kershawpurplespiderwebblur.html

The Blur is certainly an example. Unfortunately, I've had bad experiences with assisted openers that lack a flipper.

I hear there used to be a CPM154 Buck 110.

Steel prices indicate that CPM 154 is cheaper than S30V, so considering you can get S30V for under 100$, should also find CPM 154 in that range as well.

This is, of course, assuming they have similar HT and are equal to machine (I think S30V is a little harder to work with, which should bring up the price a bit further).

I think the main reason why there are fewer blades with CPM 154 is because the steel is newer than S30V.

I am surprised that these steels get mixed up so much.

Even in magazine ads it happens.

Maybe Crucible needs to change the name of CPM-154 to something else like they did with S90V (420V) & S60V (440V).

Doh! Lol I coulda sworn the green and purple Blurs were 154CM. I'll be over in the corner if you need me.
No need to stand in the corner mang. You're good. Some people think CPM154CM is a steel and it's not, it's a typo on many sites across the planet.
